Abstract
Abstract: In the 21st century, higher education has become one of the most influential instruments of global interaction and international cooperation. Universities are no longer viewed only as educational institutions; they also serve as strategic actors that contribute to cultural diplomacy, international partnerships, scientific innovation, and global influence. This article explores the concept of academic soft power and examines how the internationalization of higher education strengthens the global position of countries through universities, research collaboration, and international student mobility. The study analyzes the growing role of world-renowned universities in shaping political, economic, and cultural influence while attracting talented students from different regions of the world. In addition, the paper discusses the impact of global university rankings, educational exchange programs, and digital transformation on international education systems. The article also highlights several challenges related to inequality, brain drain, commercialization, and cultural competition in global higher education. Through analytical discussion and real-world examples, this research demonstrates that universities have become essential tools of soft power in the modern international environment.
