Abstract

Abstract: The global labor market has become increasingly integrated due to rapid globalization, technological advancement, and cross-border labor mobility. Despite this integration, substantial inequalities persist across and within countries, including wage disparities, gender gaps, unequal access to employment opportunities, and insufficient protection for migrant workers. These structural inequalities undermine economic stability and social cohesion worldwide.

This study investigates the role of human resource management (HRM) policies in reducing international labor market inequalities. Drawing upon strategic HRM theory and international labor standards established by the International Labour Organization, the research adopts a mixed-methods design combining survey data from multinational corporations and qualitative interviews with HR professionals.

The findings indicate that compensation fairness, gender equality policies, migrant workforce support, and investment in skill development significantly reduce labor market disparities. Structural equation modeling demonstrates both direct and indirect effects of HR policies on inequality through human capital development. The study contributes to international HRM literature by linking organizational-level HR practices to macro-level labor market outcomes.
