Abstract

Abstract. The rapid development of digital technologies has significantly transformed modern social life, particularly affecting the cognitive and communicative practices of young people. The expansion of cyberspace has created new opportunities for education, social interaction, and professional development. However, it has also led to the emergence of numerous cyber threats that influence both individual security and societal stability. In this context, the perception and understanding of cybersecurity among youth become a crucial factor in ensuring safe digital behavior.

This article examines the reflexive processes in youth cognition regarding the nature of cyber threats and cybersecurity. The study analyzes theoretical approaches to reflexivity, digital culture, and information security. Particular attention is paid to the cognitive and social mechanisms through which young people interpret cyber risks and develop attitudes toward digital safety. The research employs a systematic approach, comparative analysis, and content analysis of relevant academic literature.

The results demonstrate that the formation of reflexive awareness regarding cyber threats is influenced by multiple factors, including digital literacy, educational environment, cultural context, and social communication. The findings suggest that strengthening cybersecurity awareness among youth requires the development of interdisciplinary educational strategies that integrate technological knowledge with critical thinking and ethical reflection.
