Abstract
Annotation. Increasing the effectiveness of sunflower starting materials that are resistant to various environmental stresses, diseases, and pests remains a key objective in cultivation. Soil-borne phytopathogenic fungi are known to cause significant problems for agricultural crops, including sunflower. The limited options available for managing these pathogens further highlight the need for focused research. In this study, a total of 11 species of true fungi and 1 species of oomycete were isolated. Among these, species of Fusarium oxysporum exhibited the highest disease incidence. Additionally, pathogenic fungi specific to sunflower were successfully identified and characterized.
