Abstract
Abstract: Simulation-based education (SBE) and virtual reality (VR) have revolutionized the way medical students and residents acquire clinical skills. This article explores the theoretical foundations of simulation, major types of simulation technologies, applications in preclinical and clinical training, and evidence regarding their educational effectiveness. It also discusses barriers to implementation and future directions in immersive medical education.
