Abstract
Abstract: The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed English language teaching (ELT), particularly in vocabulary instruction. Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) applications have emerged as valuable tools for enhancing vocabulary acquisition by offering flexible, personalized, and interactive learning opportunities. This study evaluates the effectiveness of MALL applications in developing Business English vocabulary among English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners. A quasi-experimental research design was employed involving 60 undergraduate Business English students divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group used a MALL application alongside classroom instruction for eight weeks, while the control group received conventional vocabulary instruction only. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, learner questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews. The findings revealed statistically significant improvements in vocabulary acquisition, retention, learner motivation, and autonomous learning among students using MALL applications. The study concludes that integrating mobile applications into Business English instruction enhances vocabulary learning outcomes and supports learner-centered pedagogy.
