Abstract

Abstract: This article examines the socio-economic characteristics of internal and external migration processes in Uzbekistan within the context of globalization, demographic growth, and labor market transformation. Migration is analyzed as a multidimensional social phenomenon that influences economic development, labor mobility, regional disparities, urbanization, and human capital formation. The study highlights the main factors driving migration, including differences in employment opportunities, income levels, and living conditions across regions and countries. Particular attention is paid to the role of labor migration in improving household welfare through remittances, while also addressing challenges such as labor shortages, demographic imbalances, and the outflow of skilled workers. The research employs comparative, systemic, and socio-philosophical approaches to evaluate the impact of migration on social and economic development. The findings suggest that migration serves both as a mechanism of adaptation to socio-economic change and as a catalyst for modernization. The article concludes that effective migration governance, regional development policies, and investment in human capital are essential for maximizing the positive effects of migration and ensuring sustainable socio-economic development in Uzbekistan.
