Abstract
Abstract: Student-centered learning has become an important approach in modern ESL education, especially in speaking classes. Unlike traditional teacher-centered methods, this approach encourages active participation, collaboration, and communication among learners. This article discusses how student-centered learning improves speaking fluency, confidence, motivation, and communicative competence. It also examines the role of interactive activities such as discussions, role-plays, brainstorming, and cooperative learning in developing oral communication skills. The study concludes that student-centered instruction creates a supportive and engaging environment that helps ESL learners become more confident and effective speakers.
