Abstract

Abstract: This article examines the socio-economic transformations that have taken place in Chiroqchi district, Kashkadarya region, since Uzbekistan gained independence in 1991. The study focuses on the shift from a centralized command economy to a market-oriented system, particularly highlighting advancements in agriculture, the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the modernization of social infrastructure, including education, healthcare, and public services. The research analyzes the impact of national development programs, such as "Obod Qishloq," on improving the living standards of the district's population and fostering local economic growth. Furthermore, it discusses the district's unique challenges, especially related to its geographical location and resource management, and outlines potential strategies for sustainable development in the coming years.
