Abstract
ABSTRACT: This article analyzes the artistic and psychological aspects of
Nodar Dumbadze’s novel “Hellados.” The study focuses on the ideological ambiguity
that differentiates the work from other masterpieces of Western literature. The analysis
reveals that the novel’s complexity stems from its depiction of human emotions, inner
conflicts, and moral contradictions. Despite its narrative inconsistencies and excessive
emotional turbulence, “Hellados” successfully exposes the psychological
consequences of loveless upbringing and the struggle for inner freedom. The research
emphasizes that Dumbadze’s characters reflect the universal human conflict between
good and evil, fear and courage, despair and hope.
